Gym...Tapton flats wooot, no ilibaca..godamnit!

The gym!
So last week we went to the gym and put shortly, i did a lot of trampolining and manages some weird loser coil spin things into the pit and thought to myself 'one day they're going outside'. Then i managed standing fronts off a small box grrrrrrr if my abs didn't hurt i'd be fine.

Tapton flats!!!
One of the best spots i've been to in my life, gained quite a bit of confidence with my heights that day, was a really good sesh aswell. The day started with me meeting Guy, Teepee, Pedro and Pete at Leeds station, we got the hour long train and waited for Alex, except he was 2 hours late but we forgive him, because we love him. We then went to a few spots, which i can't remember because they didn't match up to the flats at all. So yeah, we went to Alex's to put our stuff there so nothing got robbed when the time came. Then we headed off, for our huge adventure. We had finally arrived at the flats, and the setting was really amazingly odd, the flats were all scruffy and abandoned and seemed to be full of needles and graffiti.....but you wouldn't expect this in the middle of a very lets say 'posh' area, full of houses you would expect millionaires to live in. The flats consisted of about 20 of them, or at least thats as good a guess i can come up with, high up consisting of quite a few roof gaps, and a lot of potential there. Anyway, we entered through a gap in the fence and a stealth game hit us without us even thinking, dropping from roof to roof as quiet as possible, dodging broken glass and danger with every footstep. Alex made the smallest sound and turned round and looked at us as if to say 'SHIT' because the flats are dangerous, not just because of the whole idea of them being abandoned but the people who hang around there. The reason Alex gave us this look is because he had alerted some graffiti artists who were staring at us, we all ended up try a very downwards lache, but i had to go last after the others so i was shitting it and thinking about the guys Alex had alerted. A bit later on we decided to forget about these guys, and got down to some insane rooftop training, exploring the rooves and keeping our eyes out. I managed a few pretty easy roof gaps, but later on they became a little more challenging, as i will explain soon. So i got used to the feeling of flying through the air and balancing across metal wire covers which were quite wobbly, over pretty high drops, in other words, if i fell i'd be dead. A bit later on we went to the very bottom flat which is a little bit rejected from the other flats and climbed to the very top where there is a steep slope of concrete, so i slid down it after a while but hesitated for quite a while because it felt like i'd fall off when i hit the bottom, but i didn't and i have to say...IT WAS FUN. We then decided to treck up to the top most point of the highest flat, where i stood on the top and looked down at the rest of the flats. This is when me, Guy and Alex came up with a plan. Get from the highest flat to the lowest flat as efficiently as possible, we did this jumping roof to roof all the way down, climbing through windows, dropping, vaulting, running down burnt stairs, climbing through tiny gaps, arm jumping and avoiding danger all the way to the lowest point. But at certain points we had to find a way to the ground on some of the flats as they were too far apart, then climb back to the top of the next one to carry on to the finish line. We did this constantly throughout the day, as well as training little things we spotted through the day. This spot is a definite heaven, and i'll be visiting it again with Sam Corbett and the others, this Saturday, hopefully some of the Donny lads will get their arses down too.
So Alex went home, as he was fucked from the night before, this is after training with us in an awesome church and a few other spots first though. He took us all the way to the gym then left and clambered home, thanks for the directions Alex by the way.
So we entered the gym, where i spent most of my time on the trampoline, because like i said earlier its the only form of tricking i can do without it hurting at the moment. So i basically drilled some pike fronts and stuff, then got down to some more of those inverted coils i was doing in the last gym session, which i can now land stood up. I also practiced a few more standing fronts off the same box but this time tried it off a thin beam and landed basically every single one without the crash mats, suppose i'll have to take them outside pretty soon. Anyway, we wen't home playing the usual your momma games we play, and Pete getting scared of the train as usual, and i can't forget Ped's dancing skills. So yeah, overall a mint day!

Liverpooollll....
Liverpool was actually quite a good turnout to say Mr Ilibaca didn't turn up until 5 - 6 hours later when we arrived back in Leeds. Anyway , big thanks to Eric and Chris who took us around Lime St and showed us some different and very interesting spots, some of which can be seen in Ilibaca's videos. Me and Guy were absolutely fucked this day too, but we tried quite hard and got some good stuff done, including Guy attracting some nice ladies. I can't really be bothered explaining much about Liverpool because Tapton has been stuck in my head for quite a while now, and i'm excited about going almost uninjured tomorrow morning and meeting Corbett and maybe McGuire again...
So thats all folks, in a bizzle she wizzle!
