Team LX - Lost Xistence

So our new team was born at 2:30am today, took us ages to think of a name. So this new group consists of me, Sean and Decs from Leeds and Alex, Dewi and Gwesyin (I think that's it) from Sheffield. Our newly formed group (in which EVERYONE want's to train this time) will consist of tricking, martial arts (Alex's Muay Thai Boxing), parkour (mostly), free running, street stunts, and climbing etc. Do expect to see the odd video, there wont be many due to concentrating on out training.

Today as a whole was OK, not much training done, but a large array of ideas has come up between me and Alex about how we should train. I couldn't train today anyway as every Sunday is a resting day for me (my only) and a father and son day. I also had to think about my Sixth Form options at Wetherby, which I must say was extremely tedious.

During rest today I watched a number of DVD's and pigged out (ooooops, finished off my Christmas chocolate), DVD's including The Goonies, Jump Britain and Date Movie. Jump Britain, although most of it is incorrect, still inspired me to start the wonderful art of parkour.

Daymmmm I seriously cannot wait till next weekend and the week after, the first week i'm off to Bridlington with Sean and Decs, some beach tricking and then after hopefully should be training in Sheffield with Alex's lot....Cant wait! The only thing letting me down in between is damn revision and my mocks.... HOW GAY IS THAT!?

Anyways as this blog of mine has little visuals of my parkour and tricking in action, here are some more pictures (most likely all of them are from when I was in Jinsei):

...And we are back to swopping teams about - The Joy! :|
Teams are good, but talking about making some sort of partnership and things is going a little too far - especially as your teams are not anything above amature stuff (no offense :P). As you know I like to stay away from team involvment, but as you also know I train with many teams. It is almost a mutual respect and friendship that we help each other train when we are together, you need no 'official' partnership/alliance to do that!

peace - keep up with the blog some good stuff :)

Scott, you're a really good person to have around and to train with, but you do not have any right to call me immature, my friend. The CDV partnership idea was nothing to do with me wanting to be there, but a kind of friendship/respectful thing, as they all asked me to be in, and I did let them down and waste their times, so to make them feel slightly better, that was my offer. But for your sake I got rid of it since you help me out a lot. And me, and Alex's guys, have become good friends I don't see why we can't be a team (along with Dex and Sean), if it isn't going to affect the way we/I myself train, and at least we all train this time. And like you said 'media can help sometimes'.
Your, also wrong about the 'swopping' teams around, we have simmply got rid of a crappy and unchangeable lazy team, and produced a much better one (rat boy free).

Did I say anything about maturity :s

I'm just glad you have formed a team that actually means business. Hopefully this one will last :p
Peace

All this happened whilst I was revising, in fairness, "we" didn't ask you to be in. We wanted to take a few weeks over things and train together and see if we thought it would work out. But we wish you luck since you obviously wish to do your own thing. I don't think there's any need to formalise the fact we train together with a "partnership", we don't discriminate about who we train with. Anyone who wants to work hard with a sensible and dedicated attitude is always welcome, even more so if like Scott they can help us along the way :). Don't worry about trying to make us "feel better" either, we're in no hurry to expand the team, we know what we're looking for and we're much more interested in finding people that fit with our mindset and approach than we are in getting a load of people in really fast.

Teams are over-rated, aye Scott but with CDV I met 3 amazing people, we trained together for months before it was even suggested that we become a team. Firstly and foremost we're all close friends, perhaps even soulmates. And we share a mutual respect and admiration for what we do. We're all equal and we all learn from each other. We'd be a team even if we didn't have a name. As for being amature, absolutley, we're laying foundations at the moment :), the rest comes much later.

As for climbing, come have a shot at the pattern with us next time me and Hollie are both in town, that's a good point to start with buildering. You'll probably struggle without climbing shoes though, plenty of routes we do that we'd class as harder than the pattern are simply impossible without them, the pattern is doable in trainers but just a lot more difficult.

Yeah, Alistair I get where you're coming from but when I said 'they all asked me to be in' I basically meant Ed (said all for some reason but meh)as he has been like one of my best mate since like Year 7 and without me and me without him, we probably wouldn't be jamming to this day with you guys, he did kinda say when I told him I was in LX that he was dissapointed in me (even if he was joking), so after that I felt a little guilty hehe and do remember apart from Jamie I have known him the longest so letting him down would seem a bit odd....But anyway for Ed, keep training you're an ace tricker and your parkour's getting really good.

'As for being amature, absolutley, we're laying foundations at the moment' what did you mean by that. And Alistair someone also suggested that WE become a team THE CUNNI MEISSTER.

But whatever at the end of the day I can't change your opinion and CDV are getting really great well done!
